Legend of dance: mid series pause thoughts

Legend of Dance is a unique piece of chinese period drama as it is set as a SinoBurmese theme in the 9th century. Based on a true account of Prince shwenandaw.

Starting from Kingdom of Pyu, now known as Myanmar, the Prince sets out on a Journey to the North to present Kingdom of Pyu's music to the Tang Dynasty. Before he sets out, he brings along a thief, a lonesome hero, Tang dynasty insider, and Pyu's best dancer.

The first 20 episodes basically have three arcs: - Kingdom of Pyu
- Rui Li
- Nan Zhao

Each arc has it's own plot twist and tons of mysteries to solve. Scenaries in every city and episode is VERY BEAUTIFUL. This drama is very rich in history, Buddhism, and traditional musical elements of Pyu.

What i love about this drama is that it focuses a lot of martial arts scenes as well as the different locations and costumes. You will see places of ancient Myanmar, cross border between China and Myanmar. They also used actors/actresses from Asia which makes this very unique!

The costume is filled with so much gold and peacock feathers... the costumes of Pyu reminds me of Magi! The Prince (played by lin geng xin) looks like a real life sinbad.

I love all the music and dance in this show and even though i am posting this after watching Episode 20, i still cringe at certain plots.

The entire assassination happened since the first episode and up till episode 20, it is still ongoing. It's like how team rocket appears to cockblock Ash, Swiper interrupts Dora's journey. I am still waiting for the General to die.

However, the plot have already gone through countless plot twists and each time the group checks in to a new city, a whole new mystery starts.

Prince will be your Sherlock Holmes who will solve mysteries nearer to the end of that arc and whenever he presents his arguments, you will feel like he is testing your intelligence because you never once felt that loop hole and it just mindfucks you.

Characters:
Prince is like your 9th century Sherlock Holmes. He is the brain but lacks the skills of fighting. He is pretty much the innocent, useless, and dumb prince who has yet to seen the world. So pure-hearted who is willing to forgive everyone.

Thief. She's the wittiest and quirkiest among the group. She's more than what you think she is. But she has her secrets too.

Lonesome hero. He's the typical warrior like hero who is very calm and gentleman. I love his character a lot and his martial arts skills are really impressive. All the whoosh, wham, bam! are super sick! He's also the pillar of support in the groupie since he is the only one who can fight.

Insider. She's a VERY innocent girl who has no decision over what she does and she is so naive to the point where you want to scream at her.

Dancer. ETHREAL BEAUTY. GODDESS. ELEGANCE. She is so cool, your tsundere!!!!!!! I love her character and mysterious aura around her. Her dance is so breath taking i love her already.

General son. He is a very sharp tongue person who also is a womanizer. Although he is the foster child of the General, there is more to what he is. He has so many sides to him, it is too hard to trust him.

This drama definitely challenges your intelligence and observation skills, but often you get distracted because of the surrounding.

For now, this drama is 8.5/10!

This post is going to be a collection of my two cents comments about the first episode of some Summer Anime that I have watched. You may agree or disagree with me, but I'm not asking you to agree with everything.

Just to clarify, I watched all the titles without reading the manga unless otherwise mentioned.

Sailor Moon Crystal episode 1 after thoughts

I've said it before I don't call it review because I think whatever I'm saying isn't a review....

I will be calling Sailor Moon Crystal for the next few paragraphs and other episodes review as Crystal.

It's been 16 long years since the last time I watched Sailor Moon, or at least have a rough mental image of what I think it was. When I was young, I didn't discover the senshis by myself. According to my mother, she insists that the show is during her time when it was during mine. I remember singing along to moonlight densetsu, blabbering some mahou spells, and doing that moon crown boomerang thing. I think i also had a sailor moon fanbook because there was a page I really liked about sailor mecury and I also had tons of sailor moon posters. My collection started when my family will always head down to IMM every weekend, i think, to get stuff. My mental image is blurry but i think there was a section for Japanese related goods and it was pretty crowded.

16 years later, Crystal is out, a total reboot of the entire series and I wonder how far will this series last. I'm excited. Are you?

When I first watched the opening clip aired during AX2014 that was floating around on the internet, I legit screamed along with the people in the video because it was so exciting to see MR TUXEDO MASK AND PRETTY SENSHIS WITH SUPER AWESOME WATERCOLOR ART AND KAWAII LUNA~! Although they didn't use moonlight densetsu, I'm quite glad that the seiyuus were the same.

WARNING, SPOILERS BELOW:

Anyway, when mamoru-kun first appeared on the streets in the afternoon with his tuxedo, it was ridiculous okay. Like what usagi-chan said, "who wears a tuxedo on a street in the afternoon!"

But it's excusable since it's Tuxedo-kun! He appeared with his - i assume - rayban shades looking so smoking hot outside the Jewelry shop where he bumped into Usagi calling her two buns on her head odango. It was so funny and the best thing is Tuxedo-kun doesn't sweat. It's fricking summer.

Anyway, we also meet Motoki, the boy who Usagi loves working in the Arcade and the art is so much better now with watercolor-ed buildings etc.

I'm so excited for Crystal episode 2 because it will be on Sailor Mercury. I cant remember the story so I will read the manga once to see how it's like. My friends said it's already different from the 1992 series so yay I'm excited~

To sum up, I didn't know usagi was that whiny and you just have to bear with her whininess for the entire series. But she eventually matures so it isn't that bad. MOON PRINCESS IS SO PRETTY OKAY. GAH. SAILOR MOON BANZAI!

Cosfest sg 2014

Hi there! If anyone out there do read my stuff.

I attended cosfest singapore 2014 today and I have so many things to talk about so this is going to take very long and it is a loooooog post.

This year's theme is: COSFEST XIII - THE FINAL FANTASY

Okay, I don't really have that many things to talk about since I spent like less than an hour at the venue.

Before it all happened...

I only knew about cosfest two days before the event, which was Thursday night and the only reason why I'm willing to travel to the other end of Singapore was because of Yuegene's appearance. Yes, Im a huge fan of her (or he if some of you believe that is the gender) and then someone said Reika was coming down too and I went to check her facebook, viola, I decided to make a trip down.

Another reason why I wanted to go down was to get Yuegene tshirt. It's quite pricey though, sgd30.... oh and also my friend sammichii was going to sell some doujins, mainly pedal and jojo.

When it happened...

I had second thoughts attending the event today (Day 1) because my twin was already half-dead and exhausted because he woke up very early (6am) so I was already feeling guilty when he pleaded not to do any shopping for the day. But he was nice enough to accompany me to cosfest so I decided to keep quiet and just appreciate.

The minute we arrived in the marquee, I was just roaming around trying to look for booth 5 because that was where Sam's booth was. (Not her botth but her friend. Aiya, she's still selling her stuff anyway.) So as I roamed, I came across Singapore Cosplay Club's booth and saw someone looking familiar posing beside the booth and there was a long Q. Honestly, I thought that was some Singapore cosplayer. Don't shoot me! I just had a glance! Then as I went closer, I thought she looked quite familiar and after looking at the photobooks they were selling, O-M-G THAT WAS REIKA.

I was already half-spazzing half-speechless because I never got so upclose to her and seeing her just there, right in front of my eyes less than 5 meteres, it was like dream come true! (At this moment, I forgot about Yuegene.) I decided to browse the 4 types of photobooks on sale and while I was deciding on which one to buy, I noticed Krieger photobook which Reika, Kaname, and Yuegene shot together.... and that was the most expensive sgd25... so I decided to buy it! BECAUSE OT3 IN A BOOK WHY NOT! It unexpectedly came with an autographed poster by Reika and Yuegene (at this moment I remembered her) and I asked the counter lady if I had to Q to get an autograph. When she told me she could just hand it to her to sign now instead of Q-ing since the Q's for phototaking. At this moment, my excitement started to escalate.

What happened at that moment.....

OKAY, SHE SIGNED MY BOOK

*BREATHES*

REIKA THANK ME.

*BREATHE*

"CAN I HAVE A HANDSHAKE?"

*SHAKES HAND*

/RUNS AND SCREAM TO MY TWIN

"SHOULD I TAKE A PHOTO WITH HER?"

"Yeah. Go ahead."

*ransack bag for camera and runs half way*

*u-turn*

"CAN YOU BE MY PHOTOGRAPHER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I DON'T HAVE GUTS TO TAKE A SELFIE"

//fans self// I need some self-control. Reika was in her Haikyuu outfit and since I haven't watched the anime, I am still not at spazzing level 9000 when she was in her Levi during AFA 2013.

When I was done with my Reika business, I roamed around again to look for Yuegene. I saw this huge PSO2 wall near the entrance and noticed a group gathered there and look, there was a queue so train of thoughts:

PSO2 WALL > CROWD > QUEUE > YUEGENE

I ran.

I did.

Not embarrassed.

I was happily Q-ing with twin as my photographer and thought I should give Yuegene to sign on the same photobook! But then I noticed a counter selling her Tshirt and I hopped out the Q to buy one. That was when I realized the Q was actually an autograph session and although sgd30 for a fan shirt was quite pricey, I bought one anyway.

Oh, it came with a PSO2 CD-ROM(do ppl still use this term?) and a PSO2 poster. I don't play the game so I don't know who the characters are but Yuegene was cosplaying as the black hair dude.

Yuegene's Q took awhile so when it was my turn, the guy in-charge said I couldn't use my photobook for the autograph session. BOOOOOOOOO 8( but not to worry since I already bought the Tshirt :D

The IC asked me to pass the poster instead. Really, the poster. I'm not even a fan of PC games why would I want her to sign on the poster. I rather she signs it on my shirt which has a better purpose. Sorry to hardcore PSO2 fans but I am unable to appreciate it.

I walked up to her steadily, reminding myself every minute not to freak out and spazz and blabber rubbish to her.

While Q-ing I was already forming weird conversation starters like, "hey! you're so cool!!" "omg you're so pretty!!" "i love you!!" "can i have a hug!" "you're so bijin!"

FUCK IT OKAY. WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT HER, MY MIND WENT BLANK! The only thing I remembered reminding myself was "take pictures of her signing my tshirt!"

I did . my hands were trembling so badly because I was so nervous to stand in front of her and oh my god she didn;t even look that gorgeous when she was in Nagisa last year.

So yeah. After she signed and smiled, i'm just ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (it's a feeling) and then I asked if I could take a photo with her.

I DID

I'M SO HAPPY

HALLELUJAH

YES.

When it ends...
Finally I'm reaching the end.
When I said I never had the thought of taking pictures with Reika and Yuegene, it's a lie. I thought of it, but I don't have that kind of luck to take photos with them. I missed Reika at AFA, I missed Yuegene at last year's cosfest and as much as I wanted to take a photo with her, I don't have the guts!

But an autograph? I MUST STILL BE DREAMING.

To sum up my entire afternoon, I only got satsuki-sama badge for a friend and I couldn't find sam ;(

P.S I only knew who tousabao is today. Don't judge me! I was just not very interested in local cosplayers until I saw reika uploaded their selfies. Hmm, might keep a watch on him then.

Loz iRobot Diamond series machine - Gundam EXIA

Good news. I've just completed my EXIA. will be posting a review later when I boot up my laptop. It's 2.30am here and I'll head to bed first.

I've built a few Nanoblock toys so building EXIA wasn't foreign to me. Just more time consuming and extra deduction skill set. Why?

Problems I had with my set of LoZ blocks:

1. Difference in color compared to what's printed on the box
2. Missing parts
3. Not exact parts
4. Wrongly drawn diagrams
5. Loose parts

You are bound to face such problems if you have buy it from China. I'm not looking down on them, it's just the standard of quality is there :-/ 

I took about ~4hours to finish building my robot and when it was done, it took me another 40minutes trying to get it to pose and you have no idea how much I cussed during this period because the sword/knife etc were either too loose to fit on the robot or it is too heavy. 

The head wasn't one of the parts that I completed, but I was so excited in building it because it's the fucking head! But when it was finished, I cussed most because trying to get that two "feelers" 1x4 brick was the hardest part of all! The sizing wasn't perfect so whenever I tilted one side, half the head got pushed towards the opposite direction, and when I tilt the other side, the head looks so compressed and forced it sorts of pushes back the two feelers and it ends up being vertical -.-

In this picture, you see it slanted like the box, right?! Yeah, it was that few seconds of triumph and then it went back to normal. pshht

Oh look! Now we have the body~! (you may compare against the box). In this picture, there's actually a missing part. But I replaced it with another extra block that I have. Thank god it's covered so it wasn't much of an issue.

Now we already have the sword, shield, guns and limbs done !

I GOT IT TO STAND!!!! After 40minutes. I tried my best to put everything together but it always ends up falling off after 3 seconds. I think the robot is standing around 20cm height, 10cm across. 

YUP AND THE TWIN DRIVE LOL

I paid sgd29.90 for it since it was during GSS period .. the original price is sgd34.90. Considering the price for the type of quality i'm paying, I'm not complaining much unless there's no replaceable piece. I need to hot glue everything together to make sure it's stable. The "joints" of the robots make squeaky sound each time I try to bend it and it doesn't have that grip to stay bended. The joints reminds me of old people :-/

I'm still going to buy my strike freedom when it's out in July~
